Tip 1. Refresh Your Feet.
Feet have a relationship to the kidneys, and our kidneys, are the home of energy for the whole body, therefore it is very useful to keep the feet warm, especially in winter. Massaging them regularly is essential. It helps to improve circulation of both energy and blood. In the theory of meridians in the body, the feet are a reflection of many internal organs points and tissues of the body. If you cannot sleep during the night, a quick tip is to rub the soles of your feet for a few minutes, this helps to get back to sleep
Tip 2. Tune In to the Seasons
The relationship between nature and people requires that we make various adjustments to our lifestyle during the change of seasons. For example in summer it is better to go to bed later so the heat of the season doesn’t penetrate the body to become too hot or the opposite in winter. Get up a little later in the morning when it is warmer, not to have to cope with the cold draining energy reserves.

We all need exercise for the body and walking is a natural exercise, easy to do without involving too much preparation. We often forget to allow a few moments of time to make adjustments between activities. For example early in the morning when we wake up it’s good to stay a few minutes longer in bed before we get up to adjust to the day in order to preserve and balance the energy in the body.

Getting enough rest for the body is healthy but like everything in life there needs to be a balance. Indulging in too much inactivity or rest actually wears down the body and our will and can have a negative impact on our energy. It’s wise to move your body and do simple exercise or walking.
Tip 6. Keep Emotions Calm
According to Ayurveda indulging in over emotions is detrimental to energy levels. Keep emotions is balance helps contain negative energies. When we are overcome with an emotional state, remember to breathe and compose yourself to bring more calm over your body and emotions. Over excitement is detrimental to the heart, too much anger affects the liver, over worry to the spleen and lungs, too much fear affects the kidneys. When we disturb our energy we often are unable to sleep at night. Creating a calm state is useful for insomnia
Tip 7. Head Massage
Giving your head a massage is a beneficial practice to stimulate the internal channels and circulate energy and blood to the face. A nice practice is a morning massage to give you day and face a lift. Rub your scalp and run your fingers through your hair like a comb. Rub your hands together and gently brush over your whole face in a circular motion for a few minutes. Finally rub and pull your ear lobes. This is an easy exercise with great benefit long term.

Tip 10. Spinach Strengthens Blood
The properties of spinach are sweet in flavour, cool in nature, and moistens dryness. It is beneficial for the stomach, intestines, improves bowel movements and resolves constipation. Oxalic acid in spinach prevents calcium absorption so avoid cooking spinach with foods high in calcium, tofu or seaweed, or boil first in water to remove the acid.
